Crazy Week!

WHEW!! What a crazy week! So sorry that i have been MIA but my daughter has had an awful cold! She is starting to feel (and sound) MUCH better thanks to God and Similasin Homeopathic meds! We had tried the mucinex–and long story short that stuff is disgusting and my DD would NOT take it. So I set off to find something else for her, and I found the Similasin products. Let me tell you–DD now WANTS to take her meds and they are helping her so much more than the mucinex did, plus its homeopathic! YAY!

OK!!!! I did NOT have a  great shopping week this week. I got pretty disappointed with myself, honestly. However I need to remember that I am STILL building a stockpile. So some weeks are going to go much better than others. and I really didn’t do that bad.  I went to Giant on Thursday and Harris Teeter and Safeway.

The blackberries and blueberries were B1G1 BUT they told me that i could just do the B1G1 on them together instead of getting 2 packs each. Well, that didn’t happen. I’m really frustrated about this, and as far as i know, there is nothing i can do about it. If i had known this i would have just bought the 2nd pack for each and made jam or canned it! Bleh oh well LOL

This is a good read on budgeting. We are not so good at budgeting here at my house LOL. We do OK about not living beyond our means, but I believe that we could do really well if we budgeted. That’s why I have started keeping grocery receipts ,and the like, so I can start to see about how much we spend. I will go from there and just try budgeting this one area. Then we will see about budgeting everything else. I know, I know, your supposed to budget according to EVERYTHING you earn and spend. For us though,i think this is the best way to start. I think budgeting should be done by everyone, we all want a savings for retirement, right? Or money to send our kids to college (if that’s what they choose).

How does your family budget?? Do you have a really good strategy that everyone could use?

A New Name

Hey Everyone! Katrina here! I am changing my blog over fromDealseekingmomma.blogspot.com to duchessofcoupons.wordpress.com! I am very excited about this change and hope you are too! It should be the last one for a LONGGGGG time LOL. I hope to buy the domain name eventually! Everything that I do on the blog will stay the same, well actually I hope it gets MUCH better!  I will be trying to get posts transferred over, but im not finding any info on how to do that! If you know, PLEASE TELL ME!
